The programmes we offer for learning Spanish in Spain have been provided through a partnership with DELENGUA - a language school based in Granada, Spain. These programmes have been running successfully since 2008. They are intended for attendees of all ages (16 or older) and all levels of Spanish language knowledge.
Granada, located in Andalusia, in the south-east of Spain, has a population of 270,000. It is in easy reach of both the Mediterranean Sea and Spain’s highest mountain, the Sierra Nevada. This unique location means that in just one hour of driving you can experience snow capped mountains, lush forests and tropical beaches. The coast offers beautiful beaches and the picturesque villages of Salobreña, Almuñécar and Motril.
The school organises courses in the Spanish language and culture specifically designed for foreigners. It is very popular with students from across Europe (Germany, France, Holland, Switzerland, Sweden, England, Italy, Portugal etc.) as well as from the US, Canada, Australia and some Asian countries. The average age of students attending the school is between 20 and 30, but there are some older ones, too. The school does accept students younger than 16 but only with written approval from their parents.
The Spanish courses offered all meet the standards set by the internationally recognised organisations Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and Cervantes Institute Curriculum Plan.
The courses are primarily focused on active communication: the highest priority is given to student communication and the use of situational language. Thanks to the carefully thought out programme, which covers all aspects of the language, the broad range of the topics covered guarantees the student enjoys maximum progress. The teaching methods are built around a communicative approach which results in intensive courses that require the active participation of all students.
The school does not use standard text books; instead, the material is prepared by the teachers who determine the content and ensure the implementation of the classes the students will be taking each day. These materials are open and updated regularly are included in the price of the course.
